Y'know, I spend a LOT of time at the computer almost every day. Sometimes it's justified- scanning drawings, answering emails or uploading photos for the website, creating auction listings -but I'd hate to actually nail down the percentage of time that's spent doing, well, other stuff. Playing Boggle or solitaire. Browsing eBay, MySpace or chasing a chain of interesting links for pics or info on various vintage or homespun playthings.
There are plenty more mundane reasons for the last two or three weeks spending considerably LESS time at the computer- real life, what a drag! -but one I think operates on a rather more subcutaneous, er, subconcious level.
That's the latest wallpaper I installed after receiving one of those FW emails containing a short anecdote about a couple diving off the coast of Australia along with this photo:
According to the story in the email nobody got eaten or even mauled, if you can believe that. As for me, I know it's a BIG ocean and there are some BIG fish out there- which is why I don't go more than knee deep as a general rule -but, oh my... that is some SCARY fish.
So scary I scarcely believe this photo is not doctored up.
At least I would HOPE it is.
